“Starting the Year Strong” 

Jan 31 & Feb 21 – Beyond the Hype

We kicked off the year by gathering our Youth & Young Adult Leaders from across Alberta for two energizing meet-ups, January 31 in Edmonton and February 21 in Calgary. Our goal was simple: start the year aligned, not just in the same chapter, but truly on the same page.

The theme for our sessions was “Beyond the Hype,” a conversation about what it means to lead with depth, substance, and purpose in ministry. We looked at practical ministry ideas, discussed opportunities for collaboration, emphasized professionalism, and reflected on cultivating the mindset for youth leadership.

The discussions were honest and inspiring. One consistent message stood out: keep Jesus at the center, stay organized and collaborative, and delegate early and wisely.

What stood out most wasn’t the agenda, but the amazing food, the deep conversations, the laughter, and the reminder of why we serve. There’s a movement building, and God is definitely in it!
