For the Pentecost 2025 initiative, the Calgary METRO church took several youth on a ShareHim mission trip to Costa Rica to conduct evangelistic meetings. Jorieth was one of the church’s Bible students. Although she was not yet baptized, when Jorieth learned that young people from the church were going to Costa Rica on a mission trip, she wanted to join them. Initially, Pastor Sam Cadiz wasn’t sure about her going on the mission trip. He hadn’t yet finished the Bible lessons with her. But Jorieth promised Pastor Sam that she would study the lessons on her own.
Pastor Sam had the privilege of baptizing Jorieth in Liberia, Costa Rica. What amazed him about her story was that she began preaching the gospel before she was baptized. The church where Jorieth preached her series appreciated her so much! They gave her a lot of gifts. God worked powerfully through Jorieth’s ministry to spread the Gospel, even though she was new to the faith. Today, Jorieth is volunteering in the children’s ministry department, teaching Sabbath school. We praise God for Jorieth!
