The Alberta Conference is excited to announce that on April 26, Nanette Quines was unanimously voted to serve as Treasurer, effective June 1, 2026. Nanette has served in the Alberta Conference in a number of roles since 2020, most recently as Associate Treasurer since 2023.
While Nanette’s educational background is almost entirely in the Adventist system—including two bachelor degrees from the Adventist University of the Philippines—she has honed a well-rounded accounting career by working across a variety of industries and countries, which has strengthened her ability to adapt to different environments, as well as develop a strong appreciation for cultural diversity and the many perspectives people bring to the workplace.
Nanette’s favourite Bible verse is Proverbs 16:3, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” (NIV), and this is evidenced by her own life journey. She is married to Ritchie Quines, and together with their children, London and Chloe, they are actively involved in the Red Deer Seventh-day Adventist Church. Alberta Conference President Jeff Potts appeals, “Please keep Nanette and her family in your prayers as she begins her service as an officer of the Alberta Conference.”
