The Lord graciously blessed the evangelistic campaign that we conducted at the Chestermere  Adventist Church. Truly, His hand has been evident in every step of the work.

One of the most inspiring stories from the Chestermere series is that of Tess Lobaton. Tess had been a devoted Catholic all her life. About twenty years ago, she was introduced to the Adventist faith through several Adventist friends who invited her to Sabbath services and offered her personal Bible studies with the pastor and a lay leader. However, due to the pressing demands of work and family, she gradually stopped attending the studies and Sabbath worship. Eventually, she lost contact with her Adventist friends and returned to her former religious practices.

Then, just a few days before our evangelistic series began in Chestermere, one of our church leaders happened to visit the car dealership where Tess worked. They immediately recognized each other, and without hesitation our lay leader invited her to attend the upcoming evangelistic meetings. He handed her a flyer and followed up with a phone call during the week to confirm her attendance.

True to her word, Tess attended the first session—and she later shared that the moment she stepped into the church, she felt as though she had come home. At the second meeting, she didn’t come alone; she brought along two of her close friends. Out of the eight sessions, she missed only one due to a work commitment.

As the series drew to a close, Tess and four others made their decision to accept Jesus and be baptized. One of the friends she had brought to the meetings also decided to give her life to Christ and will be baptized on November 22, together with two other candidates—a mother and her daughter.

We praise God for His marvelous providence and for granting us the privilege of sharing the love and saving grace of Jesus through our Pentecost 2025 evangelistic campaign. As for our lay leader who visited the dealership that day, he firmly believes that it was no coincidence—but God’s divine appointment—that led him there. What began as a simple inquiry about a car became an opportunity to reconnect with Tess and lead her back to the Saviour’s fold.

To God be the glory!
