Alberta Conference Camp Meeting 2026 – Enditnow Seminars
The ENDITNOW Ambassador Training Seminars held during the 2026 Alberta Conference Camp Meeting were a tremendous success, demonstrating a strong commitment across the Alberta Conference to creating safe, healthy, and abuse-free faith communities. Participants from churches across Alberta came together to learn how to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse and violence, while strengthening their ability to safeguard women, children, and other vulnerable individuals within our churches and communities.
49 Certified ENDITNOW Ambassadors: A total of 49 participants successfully completed the Ambassador Training requirements and graduated as certified ENDITNOW Ambassadors. These ambassadors are now equipped with practical knowledge and tools to:
- Promote abuse prevention and healthy relationships
- Recognize warning signs and respond appropriately
- Support individuals experiencing abuse
- Advocate for safe and healthy church environments
- Encourage greater awareness and prevention within their congregations
Representatives who successfully completed the training came from: Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Wetaskiwin, Edmonton Mill Woods, Ponoka, Airdrie, Calgary Central, Fort McMurray, Sherwood Park, Prince George, Edmonton North, Edmonton Filipino, Mirror, Bridgeland, College Church, Lancaster, MA, College Heights Church, Lacombe, and Christ the Way Edmonton. Additional participants attended but did not identify their church affiliation. Congratulations to all 49 graduates!
Looking Ahead – ENDITNOW Global Day | August 22
The enthusiasm generated by the seminars has already led several churches to request ENDITNOW presentations and training for their congregations. This demonstrates a growing desire to make abuse prevention and safeguarding an ongoing priority throughout the Alberta Conference. We strongly encourage every church to promote and participate in ENDITNOW Global Day on August 22. This is an opportunity to raise awareness, open meaningful conversations about abuse prevention, and reaffirm our collective commitment to protecting the vulnerable. Our goal is to have every church member trained as ENDITNOW Ambassadors. Every trained ambassador can become a voice for prevention, safety, dignity, and protection within the church and community. Together, we can build churches where the vulnerable are protected, survivors are supported, and abuse is never ignored or tolerated. Because every person deserves to feel safe, valued, and protected.
